Spanning an impressive 3,000 square feet, the garden showcases:

Vegetables, Herbs, Fruits, and Flowers – Including native and pollinator-friendly varieties.
Innovative Gardening Techniques – Vertical structures, container gardens, troughs, and raised beds
Eco-Friendly Practices – Explore rain gardens, rain barrels, and composting systems.
Open to the Public

The garden welcomes visitors most Saturdays during the growing season. Master Gardeners will be on-site to answer your questions and share their expertise.

Our Mission

The Fairfield County Demonstration Garden (FCDG) is a hub for education and inspiration. We aim to:

  • Teach sustainable organic gardening techniques.
  • Highlight diverse planting methods and best practices from the UConn Master Gardener Program.
  • Support local food pantries through produce harvests.
  • Hold fundraising events, such as plant sales, to fund the garden.
