WHAT IS EFNEP?
EFNEP: Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program
- We work with diverse, food insecure audiences statewide and help families learn about healthy eating, shopping on a budget, cooking and physical activity.
- EFNEP staff strive to empower participants, providing knowledge and skills to improve the health of all family members.
- Participants learn through doing, with supportive discussions where they learn to prepare delicious, low-cost, healthy meals for their families.
WHAT WE ACCOMPLISH
- In Spring 2023, 93% of participants improved a diet behavior and 82% of participants improved food resource management skills.

- Cooking skills (creating shopping lists, efficient management of SNAP benefits).

- SNAP-Ed: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education.
- SNAP-Ed Program is for people who receive USDA SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits.
Our team provides a collection of fact-based food and nutrition resources for parents, adults, and children; available in both English and Spanish, on a variety of nutrition topics including how to feed your family healthy foods on a budget.
