What is Urban Agriculture?
Urban Agriculture is the production of agricultural products within cities. The UConn Extension Urban Agriculture Program encourages individuals and groups to grow produce to sell, donate, or use for household consumption.
Who are the participants?
The Urban Ag Educator works with farmers, community gardeners, non-profits and backyard growers.
How can the Urban Ag Program help?
Technical support and resources are provided through educational programs and networks to encourage increased access to fresh, locally grown produce in Connecticut cities.
